15.3hh chestnut thoroughbred stallion, 1996
(Nureyev x Grand Falls by Ogygian)
Eltawaasul was foaled in the USA and has very correct conformation and a wonderful temperament.
He was sent to Britain where he raced at aged two and three years before returning to North America.
Eltawaasul won three times in Britain and added six more wins in North America at distances ranging from 1200m to 2000m with most of his racing carried out on turf. From 33 career outings he won nine times - including two wins as a two-year-old - and added nine placings for just over $NZ500,000.

He won two listed events in the USA. These stakes successes came in the 2100m Monmouth Battlefield Stakes and the Meadowlands Manila Stakes. He was three times stakes-placed.
His wins included a stakes race at Monmouth Park (New Jersey) over 2100m and an allowance (handicap) at the tough Belmont Park track in New York. He was also a Group II and Group III placegetter and finished fourth in the Group I Breeders' Cup Turf and amassed stake-earnings of more than $500,000.
Eltawaasul is by the mighty Nureyev, who has topped stallion premierships in Britain, the USA and France and has dominated the dam-sire table in Britain.
The Eltawaasul female family is equally exciting and descends directly from the wonder 1901 matron Pretty Polly, who won the English Oaks, 1000 Guineas and the St Leger Stakes.
Eltawaasul's dam is Grand Falls, who started once and produced Toroca (winner of the Gr. 3 Milan Premio Surgioi Cumani and was placed in The Irish 1000 Guineas).
